Àlex Calatrava begins his time as an Espanyol player with “excitement, motivation and effort”

RCD Espanyol of Barcelona has already wrapped up their first signing of the summer. Àlex Calatrava joins the blanquiazul project with conviction: “It’s a dream come true. I’m at a moment to grow personally and professionally; it’s an opportunity,” adding that “the project really appeals to me; also, Monchi has given me a lot of confidence. It’s a step I had to take, and I’m very happy and very motivated.”

Regarding his playing style, the Catalan forward described himself as “a different, decisive player; I like to go forward, looking for the final pass and to finish the move”. He also made his commitment clear: “I will work hard and provide numbers to help the team”.

Calatrava concluded by sending a message of ambition for the season that is about to begin: “I’m ready to take on the challenge. I’ll do my job with lots of excitement, motivation and effort. We can have a very special year”.
