Hinojo: "My goal and my obligation is to train and improve every day"
The RCD Espanyol player explains his preseason philosophy
Roger Hinojo has enjoyed a positive preseason with the first team, and he spoke to journalists on Wednesday to reflect on the summer so far.
The Spaniard explained that "I’m working every day to improve and be able to go into the season in the best possible condition. My goal and my obligation is to train and improve every day."
He asserted that, ever since he was a child, he always dreamed of the possibility of reaching the first team.
"Continuing to take steps forward is a source of pride. I try to take as many steps as possible, but without rushing and always trying to do things in their own time. Just training alongside these players makes you grow, so I try to integrate all of that into my game to continue progressing."
Coming up is the final friendly of the preseason against Newcastle United; a match he faces with enthusiasm.
"Against an opponent of this calibre you have to give your all. It will be a demanding match, but it will be good for us to start the season in good shape.”
“My goal is to grow as much as possible and continue working to establish myself in the first team in the future and fully rise to this challenge."
