Andoni Gorosabel talks about "a strong connection" with Espanyol in his first statements

Andoni Gorosabel gave his first interview as an Espanyol player to EspanyolMEDIA, shortly after arriving on loan in the summer transfer window.

“Espanyol are a club with great tradition and a very close connection with the fans. I really identify with those values. I can’t wait to make my debut and give it my all,” he said.

Gorosabel joins Espanyol after building up extensive experience in the top flight of Spanish football: “I’ve spent many seasons in the Primera División. I’m here to bring my experience and I’ll give everything I have, just as I have throughout all these years,” he explained.

When describing himself as a player, the right-back particularly highlighted his intensity and commitment on the pitch.

“I’m an aggressive player, I stay focused throughout the entire match, and I give everything for the club and for the team I play for.”

“I’m really looking forward to meeting the Espanyol fans and repaying all the affection they show me. There are also some familiar faces from previous stages of my career in the dressing room, so I’m looking forward to seeing them and saying hello," he concluded by saying.
