González: "We have to turn things around and change the situation”
Manolo González spoke to the media after the defeat for RCD Espanyol de Barcelona at the hands of Getafe.
“We did many things to win and one thing very badly, which led to us losing the match. We created attacking situations and we ended up losing because of two actions of our own doing," he explained.
“The team believe in the work that we're doing. At halftime we tried to reorganise the team to attack better. With Roberto coming on, we were looking for more shots from inside the box, which we were finding, and also actions down the right side. The mistakes punished us."
The Espanyol coach also said that “to the fans, I can only say thank you; despite the run we’re on, they’re supporting us until the end. In every match we do more things right than wrong, but we have to take care of the details that are hurting us”.
Finally, González said that “we have to stay positive, think about the next match and prepare the team as well as possible. We have to win, compete at the highest level and do everything well. We have to turn things around and change the situation”.
