González: "We have to always keep moving forward”

The coach reflects on the draw against Real Sociedad and reviews the season

Manolo González opened his press conference after the draw against Real Sociedad with words of gratitude for his coaching staff, as the season came to a close.

“I want to thank the entire coaching staff, each and every person who makes up our team. Thanks to them, we’ve been able to get through the season. They are great professionals. It’s only right and fair to thank them for their work for the team and for Espanyol.”

He also added that “I want to thank the fans for always being there for us. This season has taught me that, like in life, you always have to keep moving forward.”

On the 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad, he commented “we had a good game to finish the season. It’s a shame we didn’t win it, because we had the chances to do so.”
