González: "We had a complete game"

The coach reflects on the 1-0 loss to Villarreal CF

Manolo González praised the character of his players in their match against Villarreal CF, speaking after RCD Espanyol’s 1-0 defeat.

"I’m satisfied, because we're growing with the ball. The game was evenly matched, and we had chances to equalise. I'm very satisfied with the players' personality, their ability to keep the ball and their understanding of the game. It was a shame we couldn't score the equaliser. In the first half, we were brave with the ball, and in the second, we got around the back of their defence. We had a complete game."

The coach also noted that he “hopes to get 41 points as soon as possible, and if we can do it next Sunday, then that would be perfect. We can't think that everything is already done. We have to win at home again."
