González: "There are no easy games in the Copa del Rey"

The coach reflects on the win over Atlètic Lleida

Manolo González talked following the team's victory away to Atlètic Lleida and pointed out that, despite it being the first round of the Copa del Rey, "winning games is difficult in any league and any competition. That's the reality of modern football."

"These matches are nothing like LaLiga games. Regardless of the opposition, there won't be any easy matches in the Copa del Rey. I've been on the other side of the equation, in the dugout for lower league clubs, and I know what these games are like. They're like finals where there's no room for error, and the opposition always come out highly motivated against a team from a higher division."

He also emphasised that "the opponents set up the match well, and it was tough for us. We knew it would be like that. We competed at a high level. There were no injuries, and we won, which was the important thing."
