González: "There’s no point in looking for excuses"

The coach looks back on the defeat to Racing Santander

Manolo González spoke to the media following the match against Racing Santander at El Sardinero. The RCD Espanyol coach expressed regret that the team were unable to build on their first-half performance.

“We took the lead, had a good first half, and then stopped doing what we had been doing. That is both my responsibility and the players’. There’s no point in looking for excuses.”

Regarding the team’s current form, González acknowledged the difficulty of the situation and insisted that “the only way to get out of this situation is by working hard.”
