González: "I'm convinced we'll achieve our goal"
The coach speaks after the 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano
RCD Espanyol coach Manolo González expressed his disappointment with his side's result in Vallecas following the final whistle.
He lamented that "it's been many games since we last took a win, and the current form is what it is. The result wasn't fair on us, and Rayo Vallecano's goal really hit us hard. We played well in the first half-hour, but lacked precision in the final third. In the second half, we stepped up our play and had our chances to take the lead, but if you don't take those chances, this is what happens."
For the coach, there are still "details that don't go our way and decide matches. I'm concerned, obviously."
"We had a penalty and a very clear chance for Pere Milla, but we missed them. These are setbacks that hurt."
He also underlined that "I feel strong. We'll pull through, I'm sure of it. We'll grit our teeth and I'm convinced we'll achieve our goal."
