González: “When we don’t win, we feel hurt"
The coach reviews the game against Levante UD
RCD Espanyol coach Manolo González analysed his side's draw at the Ciutat de València against Levante UD in his post-match press conference, telling journalists that “The result is a fair one. We could have won, but they had chances too. It wasn't our best performance -especially during the first 30 minutes-, although we competed well. We were better in the second half. The team went for the win, but I'm unhappy with how Levante's goal happened.”
The coach lamented only getting a point from the Matchday 19 contest.
“We'll suffer at every ground. Even at home. The mentality we've tried to instill is to focus on ourselves. I have a lot of respect for Levante UD and for all the other teams. When we don't win, we feel hurt. That's the mentality we've established.”
“We always speak about ourselves as a team, and the players deserve excellent marks for what they've done in the first half of the season. The team is built on a certain mentality and way of working. We're on the right track to becoming a winning side.”
