First test of preseason approaches

The team will take on UE Olot on Saturday

The RCD Espanyol squad will kick off their preseason friendly schedule this Saturday, following nine days of training at the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque and their camp in TorreMirona.

Their first test comes against UE Olot at the Estadi Municipal de Olot, at 8pm on Saturday.

After Friday's double training session, the Espanyol players will complete a closed-door training session on Saturday morning at their hotel. In the afternoon, the team will travel to Olot.

Manolo González says his will take the contest "very seriously," and also acknowledged that the opposition are a club he has always liked.

"I hope everyone enjoys this match and that we can play many more times," he remarked in the hours leading up to the game.
