El Hilali: "We want three wins out of three"

After RCD Espanyol secured two consecutive victories that have restored confidence to the dressing room and guaranteed their top flight presence for next season, the players are aiming to round off the season on a high this Saturday against Real Sociedad.

"We're very happy, but we have to conclude things well this Saturday," said Omar El Hilali this Wednesday.

"We want three wins out of three and to do it in front of our fans and our families. That's the only mentality we have."

A victory, combined with other results, could open the door to a possible European spot for next season.

"That would be incredible. We're determined to win on Saturday to have a chance at that. Once we beat Athletic, everything improved. It's been a very difficult few months after a spectacular first half of the season -and a second half where the results didn't come. We've kept Espanyol in LaLiga, and if there's even the slightest chance of qualifying for Europe, we're going to go for it," El Hilali continued.

“The team never stopped believing. I'm glad that the fans can watch the game on Saturday with calm, and I hope that we finish the season in the best possible way.”
