Edu Expósito reaches 100 appearances

The midfielder achieves the milestone in his latest campaign at Espanyol

Edu Expósito has joined the select group of RCD Espanyol players to reach 100 appearances for the club. This past Saturday, midfielder played his latest official match against Atletico Madrid.

Expósito made his debut with the first team, then managed by Diego Martínez, on August 13th, 2022, in a game against Celta Vigo. Having arrived from Deportivo La Coruña, the midfielder had an impressive first apppearance, scoring a great goal.

Throughout his four seasons with the first team, he has been used various coaches and established himself as a key player in midfield. The most difficult moment for him came in the 2023/24 season when he suffered a serious injury in a match against Eldense.

After several months of hard work and dedication to return, he reappeared on December 22nd of that year against UD Las Palmas, and became one of the club's leaders during the crucial stretch of the season in the fight to avoid relegation.

With Manolo González at the helm, Edu Expósito has rediscovered his best form and enjoyed a brilliant 2025.
