Dolan: "We've made a very good start"
The summer signing talks about his opening games with RCD Espanyol
In just two matches with RCD Espanyol, Tyrhys Dolan has demonstrated his quality and is convinced that Espanyol can be a major step forward in his professional career.
Speaking before Sunday’s game against CA Osasuna, he commented that the team have made "a very good start" to the campaign.
"I just want to keep progressing. I didn't expect to integrate as quickly as I have. I wanted to come here and do well, of course, but it's a big change in my life, and I'm just taking it as it comes. I'm not putting too much pressure on myself, but I'm happy with the way I've handled things. I'm taking things calmly."
Renowned for his spectacular playing style, Dolan noted that his confidence i increases "when I see that people enjoy what I do."
“Both the coach and the rest of the staff have brought out the best in me. They tell me to go out there, be myself, and play free from constraints. That helps."
When asked about the difference he has noticed compared to his time in England, he pinpointed "the quality. Here, the quality is very high. You can see it in the way some teams play, their movements; everything is a little faster."
“The coach is telling us to go out onto the pitch believing we can win. Against Osasuna, that's what we want to do. If we get three more points, it will have been an incredible opening to the season."
