Dolan: "It's an exciting opportunity for me to come here and showcase my talent"

The new signing talks after joining RCD Espanyol

Tyrhys Dolan gave his immediate reaction to his signing for RCD Espanyol in an interview on Friday, and left no doubt that the move is one that provides plenty of motivation.

"I'm excited. The club is amazing, it's a beautiful city. Me and my family are very excited about this new journey," explained the winger.

"Seeing how passionate the supporters are about the club, and how big the club is, is amazing in itself. It's an honour to play for Espanyol. LaLiga is one of the best leagues in the world, so it's an exciting opportunity for me to come here and showcase my talent," he added.

"The main thing for me is to give 110% in every game. I'm an exciting, skillful, direct player and I went to get the fans up off their seats. I'm an exciting player and I work hard as well," he said of his playing style.

As for the team's ambitions for the coming campaign, Dolan sees plenty of potential.

"I think that we can definitely keep moving up the table, and finish higher up. We can be a solid LaLiga team. Last season the team did very well, but we want to finish higher up. I hope that, with my arrival, we can keep pushing for that."
