Carreras: "We will have to make the most of our opportunities"

The winger looks at the weekend game against Athletic Club

Jofre Carreras says that he and his RCD Espanyol teammates need to continue "insisting and improving" in order to get more consistent results in the coming weeks, as the team prepare for their game against Athletic Club.

“The results away from home are not coming, but it's a matter of time, of continuing to insist; because if we keep competing as we have been doing, the results will come," he told the media on Wednesday.

The winger explained that “all the games in LaLiga are important, because they are all worth three points. At home, with our fans, we are having some great games and we feel strong. We have started the year well, have been able to withstand a lot in the games, and as long as the team continue like this, we will continue to get results."

Regarding Athletic Club, he pointed out that “in addition to their fitness, they have a great team. So we will have to run and make the most of our opportunities. We are going to go for the victory, and with our fans behind us it is always a little easier. In any case, we will try to minimise their virtues."

Finally, Jofre also had words of encouragement for RCD Espanyol Femenino player, Daniela Caracas. “As players and teammates, we stand by the club and support our teammate,” he concluded.
