Calero departs after seven seasons

The defender's time at RCD Espanyol comes to an end

Fernando Calero and RCD Espanyol have parted ways, following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign. The defender, who joined the club in the 2019/20 season, completed seven seasons at the RCDE Stadium. In total, he played 181 official matches, including the two seasons he spent in the Segunda División and his participation in the Europa League during his first season with the club. Despite primarily playing in central defence, he also contributed to the attack, scoring five goals.

Throughout these seven seasons with Espanyol, Calero has consistently demonstrated his professionalism and ability.
