Calatrava: "It’s a time for me to grow"

Àlex Calatrava begins his time as an Espanyol player with “excitement, motivation and effort”

RCD Espanyol de Barcelona's first signing of the summer, Àlex Calatrava, spoke to the media about the exciting move.

“It’s a dream come true. It's a time for me to grow, both personally and professionally; it’s an opportunity. The project really appeals to me; also, Monchi has given me a lot of confidence. It’s a step I had to take, and I’m very happy and very motivated," he explained.

Regarding his playing style, the forward described himself as “a different, decisive player; I like to go forward, looking for the final pass and to finish moves off. I will work hard and provide numbers to help the team."

Calatrava concluded by sending out a message of ambition for the upcoming season.

“I’m ready to take on the challenge. I’ll do my job with lots of excitement, motivation and effort. We can have a very special year”.
