Coach training

Football evolves day by day and the training of coaches is increasingly important. RCD Espanyol actively believe in training and updating knowledge, and that is why the club give all coaches and football lovers the opportunity to learn.

At the Coaching School, the teachers are responsible for methodology, the engine of grassroots football.

For years our youth setup has been a point of reference at European level, and we believe that it is time to make our way of working better known.

The training offered by the club is very broad, so that everyone can choose the way that is most beneficial for them.

METHODOLOGY AND YOUTH ACADEMY MANAGEMENT COURSE

Aimed at: Coaches working with formative, amateur and semi-professional football

Duration: From October 2025 to May 2025

Mode: On-site, every Friday

Timetable: 17:45h - 21:00h

Course load: 100 hours, including theory and practical classes.

Intensive week

An opportunity to gain know-how during a week. Training for groups of coaches at different football clubs, adapted in content and duration:
1. Structure and working methods for youth football
2. Training methodology for 11-a-side and 7-a-side
3. Fitness schedules for youth football
4. Specific goalkeeping training
5. Pysychological training
6. Video analysis
- Aimed at: Groups of coaches who wish to learn about RCDE's youth football setup.
- Format: In person (Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque).
- Language: English, Catalan or Spanish.
- Teachers: Youth football coaches
- Duration: Adaptable to the needs of each group.
- Activities: Seven theory sessions and attendance at training. Open doors to watch youth football training.
- Includes: Attendance certificate.
- Optional: Coach uniform, water, possibility of interpreter (Chinese, English, French and Japanese), RCDE Stadium tour, discount on match tickets.

Director of RCDE Academy Jinan, leading the project in China as a key driver of the RCDE methodology rollout. He coordinates the staff and sporting plan, and coaches multiple youth categories.
